Three female suicide bombers kill at least 27 in Chad

Three female suicide bombers blew themselves up in a market in Chad. At least 90 people were injured in the attacks with 27 fatalities.

Boko Haram has not yet claimed responsibility but the terrorsits group is suspected says General Banyaman Cossingar, the director general of Chad’s national police.

Thousands of refugees have been seeking refuge at the Lake Chad area after fleeing Boko Haram attacks.

Boko Haram has targeted refugee camps in the last couple of months. In November, a female suicide bomber attacked a transit camp in Maiduguri Borno State. At least 7 people were killed. In September, a bomb was detonated in the largest IDP (Internally Displaced Persons(IDP) camp in Nigeria, killing seven and injuring 20 people.
